Thryv alternatives: what to look at if Thryv is not the right fit
Most owners look for a Thryv alternative for one of two reasons: the price is more than they want to spend, or they are paying for listings and website features they never touch. The honest options are GoHighLevel, Podium, Birdeye, a simple CRM plus a booking tool, or staying put. Which one fits depends on whether your problem is enquiries going cold or being found online.
First, be honest about why you are looking
There is no point swapping software until you can say, in one sentence, what is going wrong. Owners usually land on this page for one of three reasons. The bill went up and the value did not. They are paying for a website and directory listings they already had elsewhere. Or enquiries are still going cold, and no amount of listings fixes that.
Write your reason down before you read the options. It will make the choice obvious in about five minutes.
What Thryv actually costs
Checked on Thryv's own pricing page on 10 August 2026: Starter is 99 dollars a month, Signature is 399 dollars a month, and Amplify is custom priced. Annual billing is advertised as saving 15 percent, and a free trial is offered. Signature lists free onboarding, which suggests the other tiers may not include it, so ask before you sign.
Prices change, and the plan you are quoted may differ from the advertised one. Check Thryv's live page and get your own renewal quote in writing before you compare anything.
Where Thryv is genuinely strong
- Getting you listed. Posting your business to 60 plus directories in one go is real work you would otherwise do by hand
- The all-in-one bundle suits an owner who has no website, no listings and no review process, and wants one supplier for all three
- Review management is built in rather than bolted on, and it covers requesting and replying
- A single monthly bill and one support number, which some owners value more than saving money
If those four lines describe your business and the price is comfortable, staying put is a perfectly sensible answer. The rest of this page is for owners where they do not.
The five realistic alternatives
- GoHighLevel, if your real problem is enquiries going cold. It covers missed-call text-back, follow-up sequences, a booking calendar, pipelines and review requests, with unlimited contacts on every plan
- Podium, if the whole problem is front-desk texting and Google reviews and you want the simplest possible tool for exactly that
- Birdeye, if reviews and reputation across several locations is the job, and follow-up is already handled elsewhere
- A simple CRM plus a separate booking tool, if you want the cheapest possible starting point and do not mind two logins
- Nothing new at all, if what you actually need is a written follow-up process rather than more software
A Leicester dental practice was paying for Thryv mainly for listings and a website. Both were already fine. What was actually costing them money was the 20 or so enquiries a month that came in after 5pm and were answered the next morning, by which point some had booked elsewhere. Listings were never the problem. Their fix was an instant text-back and a three-step chase, not a new website.
Which problem is yours?
- People cannot find you online, and your listings are patchy or wrong
- People find you, enquire, and then hear nothing for hours
- You get the work but forget to ask for the review afterwards
- You are paying for three tools that each do a third of the job
Line one points at listings software. Lines two and three point at follow-up software. Line four points at consolidating. They are not the same purchase.

Send me the free BlueprintHow to compare without getting talked into anything
- Get the renewal price in writing, not the new-customer price. They are often different
- Ask what happens to your website and your reviews if you leave, and who owns the domain
- Count the tools you would cancel. If the answer is none, the cheaper option is not actually cheaper
- Ask for the total including messaging and call charges, because per-message costs are where quotes drift
- Trial one thing properly for two weeks rather than three things badly
Our honest position
We are affiliated with GoHighLevel and we earn a commission if you start a trial through us, so read the rest of this with that in mind. It is the tool we recommend most often, because for most local businesses the money is lost in slow follow-up rather than in listings, and it is the option that fixes that job while replacing several other subscriptions.
If your problem genuinely is being found online, we would tell you to stay with Thryv or use a listings service. Swapping to a follow-up tool would not fix it.
Want to see it running?
GoHighLevel is the tool we use for all of this in our own business. You can try everything on the 14-day free trial and judge it on results.

Common questions
How much does Thryv cost?
Thryv's own pricing page on 10 August 2026 listed Starter at 99 dollars a month and Signature at 399 dollars a month, with Amplify priced on request. Annual billing was advertised as saving 15 percent. Prices change, so check the live page and get your renewal quote in writing.
Is GoHighLevel a direct replacement for Thryv?
For the follow-up, booking, CRM and review parts, yes. For directory listings management it is not a like-for-like swap, because listings distribution is a core Thryv feature and not a GoHighLevel one. If listings are the reason you pay Thryv, keep that job somewhere else before you move.
What is the cheapest Thryv alternative?
A simple CRM plus a separate booking tool is usually the cheapest on paper. It is only genuinely cheaper if you will actually use two systems, keep them in step, and not lose enquiries between them. Most owners we speak to end up back at one tool within a year.
Will I lose my reviews if I switch?
Your reviews live on Google and Facebook, not inside Thryv, so the reviews themselves stay. What you lose is the request automation and the reply history. Ask in writing what data you can export, and set the new review requests running before you cancel the old ones.
Do I need to switch at all?
Often no. If enquiries are going cold, the fix is a written follow-up process first and software second. Our free guide sets out the five steps, and you can run them by hand for a fortnight to see whether they work before paying for anything new.
